The International Office performs the functions of establishing and maintaining international academic relationships with partner universities and schools to implement formal exchange agreements and ensure a smooth process for receiving and sending students and faculty on exchange programs. Every year the International Office organises and administrates the international exchange studies of approximately 500 students at both the undergraduate- and graduate levels.
Registration and student account The International Office administers and manages your registration. They will contact you by e-mail prior to your studies and give necessary information, including course registration and student account information. If you have any questions regarding your studies, kindly contact the International Office directly.

THE ACADEMIC YEAR
The academic year in Sweden is divided into two terms, each lasting 20 weeks. The autumn term usually starts in September and the spring term starts in January. You study one course at a time where examination takes place at the end of each course. When one course is completed, the other begins. Usually, there are four courses per term.

COVID-19 EFFECT ON STUDIES
Due to COVID-19 The School of Business, Economics and Law is temporarily operating education online. Your education will mainly be digitally at the beginning of the semester. Depending on governmental guidelines, these recommendations may change throughout the autumn. Shortly before the autumn term starts, you will receive information about what applies to your courses.

In close collaboration with the business world and surrounding society
It was the business community in Gothenburg that founded the School of Business, Economics and Law in 1923. Maintaining close collaboration with the surrounding society is of high importance for us. As a student, you will meet representatives from businesses and the surrounding society throughout your education. They can show up as a guest lecturer or when it's time for you to write your thesis, or at the student union's activities.

ECONOMICS LIBARY
The library holds books and journals in economics, human geography, economic history, law and statistics, further they hold special collections concerning the UN and the EU. Visit the library or contact the service officers who can support and help you in several areas.
